Booking Telephone No.: 778-330-1145 Booking Privileges Adults, Spouses, Senior Citizens All Squash courts 7:00 am - 11:00 pm Students and Juniors: All Squash courts 7:00 am - 11:00 pm Daytime Only Membership: All Squash courts 9:00 am - 3:15 pm Early Bird Membership: All Squash courts 7:00 am - 9:00 am Doubles Only Membership: Doubles Squash Court only 7:00 am - 11:00 pm Rules: The rules here are currently under review. 10.01 The Squash Director(s) may make such decisions concerning the allocation of the courts as are considered to be in the best interest of the club and the game of squash. They can also modify the booking rules to ensure fair usage of all courts. 10.02 Singles courts, and the doubles court, may be booked up to a maximum of seven (7) days in advance. Up to 2 prime time courts may be booked, but only one on a given day, and up to 5 non-prime time courts may be booked, up to a maximum of 2 on a given day. 10.03 A third prime time court can be booked only on the day the match first booked is to be played. Example: if you have a match at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, you can book two additional prime time courts for later in the week on that Tuesday. Or if you have two prime time courts booked later in the week, then you can book a third prime time court on that Tuesday. This rule applies to prime time bookings only. This rule is designed to re-book last minute cancellations and to allow people to take advantage of court cancellations on a day-by-day basis. 10.04 In addition to your prime time bookings you are allowed to book courts at non prime time. Limit of 2 courts per day, 5 courts per week for non prime time. Prime Time: Court 4, 5 4:45 pm - 8:30 pm, inclusive Monday - Friday Court 3, 6, 7, 8 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, inclusive Monday - Friday 10.05 Booking limits apply to all players using a court. When booking a court, 'Guest' may be used as a placeholder for bookings made more than 1 day in advance. 'Guest' placeholders must promptly be converted to a member's name when the player has been identified. For singles court prime time bookings, the court must be cancelled by noon on the day of the booking if the opponent has not yet been identified. For doubles court prime time bookings, the booking must be cancelled by the day before the booking if all 4 players have not yet been identified. If any 'Guest' position has not been converted to a member's name by noon on the day of the booking, a guest fee may be levied at the discretion of the board, but all members are responsible to make sure guest fees are paid when a guest is planned to be included in the booking. 10.06 Prompt cancellation of all bookings that cannot be used is mandatory for all members so that others may make use of the court times. For continued violations of rule 10.05, the board may, at its discretion, issue a warning, a fine, or suspend the booking privileges of members who fail to promptly cancel bookings they are unable to use. 10.07 If a court is not claimed by the designated players 10 minutes after the starting time, the reservation is forfeited. It takes two players to claim a singles court, three to claim a doubles court. Cancel bookings promptly when it is known in advance that you cannot make it. 10.08 All players are asked, for their own convenience to confirm their booking before playing. 10.09 Juniors may obtain full playing privileges from the Executive Director or Squash Director(s). 10.10 The bookings are regularly inspected by the Squash Director(s). Members found abusing these rules stand to lose their playing privileges. 10.11 The operation of the squash ladder is the responsibility of the Squash Director(s) whose decisionon matters affecting ladder play shall be final. The Squash Director(s) may delegate all leagues and ladders to the squash pro. The Squash Director(s) will establish annually the playing privileges of junior members. 10.12 Beepers, Cellular phones or other items that may distract other players are not permitted on court. Turn them off before entering courts. $50.00 fine may be imposed for abuse of this rule. 10.13 All players must wear non-marking, clean indoor court shoes while on court. 10.14 Shoe tags must be visible on the shoes that a member is wearing while on court or in the Fitness Area. Players may be requested to display their shoe tags if it’s not visible. Shoe tag replacement fee is $25.00 plus applicable taxes. 10.15 Court Type Court Time Booking Time Prime Time Court 6, 7, 8 Singles 1 hour 7:00 am - 11:00 pm 5:00 - 9:00 pm inclusive Court 4, 5 Singles 45 minutes 7:00 am - 11:30 pm 4:45 - 8:30 pm inclusive Court 3 Doubles 1 hour 7:00 am - 11:00 pm 5:00 - 9:00 pm inclusive Note: Courts cannot be booked from midnight to 7:00 am. It's on a first come first serve basis. 10.16 Eye guards: - Approved eye guards are mandatory for Juniors for Singles & Doubles play. - Approved eye guards are mandatory for all Doubles players. - Approved eye guards are strongly recommended for adult players for Singles play. - Regular glasses are not considered appropriate eye guards. - Approved protective eye guards must be worn over regular glasses. 10.17 The squash members serving on the Board will have absolute discretion in waiving or reducing penalties. |
